Repairs of railway wagons

We realize repairs of all types of railway cars in compliance with the relevant standards.
LEGIOS a.s. is licensed to undertake wagon repairs both for Czech and for foreign clients.
LEGIOS a.s. is a certified KNORR-Bremse SfSF GmbH and DAKO-CZ centre for the repair of wagon braking systems.
At present we realize around 2,000 wagon repair jobs annually.
The wagons we repair are shotblasted and painted in the state of the art boxes in our new, purpose-built hall.

Inspection of railway wagons

We realize comprehensive vehicle inspections, air tank tests and checks, tank interior revisions, and pressure tests in conformity with the RID norms relating to the transport of hazardous materials by rail .
We realize repair work on individual wagon structural components and sub-assemblies, such as buffers, screw couplings, brake parts and equipment, suspension gear and wheel sets.

Freight cars inspections and repairs

The traditional program of our Company includes freight cars inspections and repairs. We believe we are able to offer repairs of all types of wagons, i.e. carboy wagons, platform wagons, closed or open wagons, cistern wagons (including pressure tests), well wagons or special wagons.

High quality, broad specter of types, low price level, reliability, promptness and flexibility belong among our strongest points. Scope of our authorizations for the CR or for abroad is a matter of course.

We would like to offer you the repair services of our Company; they amount to 2000 inspection repairs a year approximately, from that ca 500 tank cars. We have put into operation a new blasting and varnishing hall in January 2005; it has increased the capacity possibilities of our Company even more..

Service center

A mobile service center has been established in LEGIOS a.s. Louny by the end of the year 1997, with the aim to help the railway cars operators to remove any troubles that have emerged on the cars within their operation on the ČD railways. Within the past years this center has confirmed its importance many times at frequent actions and operations.

Above standard surface treatment

Cars’ blasting prior to their coating is the basic precondition of a high-quality surface treatment. Our Company has got a state-of-the-art blasting box for such purposes. After blasting, we recommend to realize several layers of a coating system by epoxy, polyurethane or acrylate coating materials. Such coating systems lifetime is up to 10 years, depending on the coating thickness and on the aggressivity of environment to which they are exposed.

Cistern cars tests

Next, in our premises we can offer you, for example, air tanks inspections, tests and checks, inspections, tests, internal checks, pressure tests, etc., of railway cars for hazardous material transport and for transport of materials according to RID. Such tests are performed by D. I. Svatopluk Křivánek – authorized RIG specialist.
